Business description

The holiday home "Patio Andaluz" is located in Vélez-Málaga, an Andalusian village close to the sea and about 30 km from Malaga’s International Airport. This small town has an ideal & beneficial tropical climate almost year round!

The house is situated in the most historic and typical neighbourhood of the town. The architecture evokes the quality of past’s lifestyle. Built in 1858, the house is spacious and offers exceptional natural light. Upon entering "El Patio Andaluz", you will be surprised by its size and its charm.

You can rent rooms by day, weekend and/or full weeks. For additional comfort and tranquillity, we do not rent rooms to different tenants at the same time, regardless of the number of rooms you rent so you can enjoy a complete independence in the use of all the facilities of the house: living rooms, terraces, patio, kitchen, garage and pool, etc.

The property has a total size of 360 m2 including 6 rooms (3 doubles and 7 singles), and two very spacious bathrooms with shower.

The living room offers an extra single bed and is equipped with satellite TV featuring 40 international channels + Spanish channels; aside from that you can watch videos, DVDs, listen to CDs or spend some spare time with Playstation 1 and free internet access by WIFI.

The kitchen is very spacious and comfortable with gas oven and it has, among others: microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary utensils to prepare meals during your stay.

The property features 2 terraces furnished with chairs, tables and umbrellas as well as 3 outdoor balconies (ideal for the Holy Week), a large patio with well, security system and a garage with space for 1 car.

If all these were not enough, “El Patio Andaluz” has a salt water pool (no chlorine), measuring 7x3 meters, that will be the delight of every guest. In this area you will also find an outdoor shower and 4 comfortable chairs, in addition to a barbecue. The exterior of the house is decorated with plants and trees, palms, olive, lemon and orange trees and the typical “bougainvillea”.

Finally for the youngest guests, there are 3 beds, 2 chairs, 1 baby bath and toys, so that they also have a great time! There are 2 adult bikes available for tenants.

The reconstruction of the property took over eight-month study (with the help of the city’s architects and their knowledge of the historical monuments), and more than 10 months of work, to provide this nineteenth-century mansion of the comfort of a property of the XXI century, while respecting the original architecture, materials and the skills of the pasts craftsmen that built the house.

We have paid special attention to decoration so that it is consistent with the architecture and the Arab-Andalusian character of the property which in it end seeks for peace and warmth.

We do appreciate that at the end of your stay, you are kind enough to leave the house in the state in which you found it.

Departure cleaning is an obligatory one-time charge (50€).

We requires a Security Deposit (500 €) (bond) upon receiving the keys which is due cash at arrival.

The security deposit is refundable at your departure as long as all is in the same conditions as it was delivered.

Prices are recommended prices, for guide purposes only. If you are interested in this property and wish an actual real quote for your stay, please send us an e-mail stating the exacts dates and the number of rooms you would like to rent so we can send you a proposal according to your requirements.

Please bear in mind the minimum rental is for 2 nights*, except during the months of JULY and AUGUST. During these, the minimum stay is 1 week (from Saturday to Saturday) and 6 bedrooms are required to be rented.

*We accept bookings for one night, paying the price of two.

Property Distribution:

3 bedrooms with double beds (6 persons)

2 bedrooms with 2 single beds each (4 persons)

1 bedroom with 3 single beds (3 persons)

 

Area activities

 

Take advantage during your stay and visit some of the close towns such Malaga city, Granada, Cordoba, Seville, Ronda, Tarifa, and why not, even Tangier. Each of these cities can almost be completed in a 1 day visit.

Besides these places, you can also discover the typical “white Andalusian villages”: Alcaucín, Periana, Competa, Frigiliana and, of course, Sierra Nevada where you can also go skiing.

Also you can play golf (there are several fields near Vélez), horse riding, karting ...

For shopping, there is the shopping centre El Ingenio in which many prestigious national and international brands have stores as well as a while a multiplex cinema with 12 screens.

In addition, every Thursday, you can enjoy the flea market in the centre of Torre del Mar and Velez.

For children, there are several parks nearby: Selwo Marina, Selwo Adventure, Crocodile Park, the famous and historic caves of Nerja and in Velez, the “Aquavelis” water park.

Officially, the check in time will be starting at 17.00 h. If you need to check in before, please let us know and if the property is ready, meaning that there is no check out on the same day, we have no problem in allowing the entry before the stipulated time.

Officially, the check out time would be 11.00 h. If you wish to leave later, please let us know in advance or at arrival and if possible, if there is no entry on the departure day we will have no problem in allowing the departure after the stipulated time.
